With Samsung’s latest hosting Unpacked event earlier today, you may have missed Nintendo’s Indie World showcase at noon ET. It only took about 20 minutes, but the company had a lots of news to share. Most importantly, you can download Axiom Verge 2, the sequel to Tom Happ’s acclaimed 2015 Metrodivania, today. If you do not have a Switch, it is also available on your computer via Epic Games Store i PlayStation 4.
Axiom Verge 2 is not the only Switch indie you can download today. In total, you can play six other games today. They are the most important Boyfriend Dungeon i Garden Story. The first is a hack-and-slash title where you can romanticize and date the weapons you find in your adventure, while the second is a top-down RPG similar to Zelda set in a charming world filled with anthropomorphic plants.
Then there are the indie games you can expect with later playing on your Switch. Leading is that package Tetris effect, which will finally reach Nintendo’s portable console on October 8th. This latest version of the game will include single player and multiplayer components.
Other prominent elements include East, a new action RPG from Stardew Valley publisher of Chucklefish Games and highly regarded Loop hero, which came out on PC and Mac earlier this year. Both will arrive at the Switch before the end of the year. We are also looking forward to the game called Bomb Rush Cyberpunk. Reminiscent of Jet Set radio and is coming to Switch next year.
