12 fun ways to help kids learn while playing at home


You think you think have children. But what you really have are little curiosity machines that roam your life, peering, watching, teasing the world, wondering how it works, how they fit into it, and what it can mean.

Education is basically nurturing the natural curiosity of tiny people and helping them understand their world, something that is often overlooked or lost in our current goal-oriented education culture. To restore balance and encourage our children to explore their world in new ways, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite learning tools.

You can call them whatever you want: extracurricular activities, learning tools, teaching aids for the home. Your kids will simply call them fun.
