Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series arrives on September 2, 2022

Amazon has been long awaited Lord of the Rings the series has an release date, but don’t rush to take the best spot in your living room. The show will premiere September 2, 2022, and new episodes will be released on Prime Video every week.

Recording without a title is still complete. Production began in February 2020, but was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The series takes place thousands of years before the events in The Hobbit i Lord of the Rings. A bunch of old and new characters will have to resist the new evil that has arisen during the Second Age of Middle-earth.

Along with the release date, Amazon also revealed the first one corresponding image from the show. It depicts a figure looking into view with a white city and, much further, the outline of two curious trees. With no traces of the trailer, expect the internet to analyze every pixel of the image for clues.

Even before filming began, Amazon renewed the series for the second season. So, whatever happens in this first series of episodes, you can be sure that there will be many more stories to follow.
