After that, Dish Network finally offers HBO, Cinemax and HBO Max to its subscribers kicking HBO off its network almost three years ago. This is the first time that Dish subscribers can watch HBO shows like Mare of Easttown i Euphoria since the transportation dispute began on October 31, 2018. However, the new contract does not cover the distribution of HBO or HBO Max subsidiary of Sish TV.
When Dish removed HBO and Cinemax channels, he accused then-parent AT&T of using HBO as an “economic weapon.” At the time, HBO was just a flat cable station, but AT&T has launched HBO Max as a streaming service similar to Netflix in July 2019. As the situation is resolved, Dish becomes the last major TV distributor to add HBO Max to its lineup.
The resolution followed a major turnaround with HBO’s parent, WarnerMedia. In May 2021, AT&T announced that it singled out that division and merged it with Discovery in a $ 43 billion deal. This effectively eliminates the conflict of interest because AT&T is a direct competitor to Dishu in the space of satellite video service providers. The parties did not disclose the terms of the new agreement.
With the deal now underway, Dish users get a free 10 days of free HBO and Cinemax from August 6-15. Meal users can subscribe to the HBO Max plan without ads for $ 12 instead of the regular price of $ 15 per month for up to 12 months if they operate before October 27, 2021. They will get HBO Max access on supported devices like iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV and Fire TV, along with live channels including HBO, HBO Family and HBO Signature. Plate users can also purchase Cinemax for $ 10 a month.
