Uber is embarking on flower deliveries


The next time you open Uber Eats, you might see a new delivery option: a way to quickly put flowers on the door with just a few taps. has partnered with a permanent FTD for the flower industry for its first nationwide floral partnership as part of its latest on-demand delivery venture.

People from New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami and some other locations can now order flower arrangements from FTD ProFlowers locations. Uber expects to introduce this option nationwide by early 2022, so it should be available almost everywhere by Mother’s Day next May. You can see the available options by tapping the flower icons in the Uber Eats app and selecting the ProFlowers location. Uber Pass and Eats Pass subscribers will receive discounts and free shipping on eligible orders of at least $ 15.

Deliveries have become an increasingly important part of Uber’s business in recent years. One of the key reasons is that far fewer people were driving amid restrictions related to COVID-19. The company is recent markets for more than 400 American cities and it has only just begun in Texas.
