Instacart hires the head of the Facebook app as the next CEO



there is hired the top CEO of Facebook as its next CEO. Fiji Simo will take over the main job of the delivery service on August 2, replacing founder Apoorva Mehta, who takes over the role of executive chairman. Simo joined InstaCart’s board of directors in January.

Simo worked on Facebook for ten years. She rose through the ranks to become the head of the Facebook application in 2019. Through her work on the video, she helped become a key part of Facebook Facebook Live i Look, as well as News feed videos that play automatically. Simo previously worked at a local store and classified ads on eBay.

Although many companies struggled amid the influence of COVID-19, it was a heyday for Instacart as people in crowds turned to delivery apps to order groceries.
