Company for the production of electric hyper cars takes control of Volkswagen’s supercar brand as part of a joint venture with (owned by VW). Bugatti and Rimac will share resources and expertise, but separate brands remain with their own production and distribution settings as part of a new company to be called Bugatti Rimac.
Once a joint venture starts working, which it is expected to happen later this year, Bugatti will be able to take advantage of Rimac’s EV knowhow and perhaps continue its legacy . Meanwhile, Rimac can take advantage of Bugatti’s knowledge, which he does on the planet in Bugatti Veyron.
Meanwhile, the Rimac Group is creating a new company, Rimac Technology, which will deal with “the development, production and delivery of battery systems, powertrains and other EV components”.
Bugatti Rimac’s headquarters will be in Zagreb, Croatia, where Rimac is headquartered. The € 200 million Rimac Campus ($ 237.3 million) is scheduled to open in 2023 and will be a hub for Rimac and Bugatti hypercar research and development.

In addition to technology, Rimac also contributes to new development and organizational approaches.”
